Technical WriterWe are looking for an experienced writer who can assume responsibility for product documentation and training material for Vertica’s Analytic Database product.
Field EngineerIf you have novel ideas for making a database easy to use, read on. How do you make a great RDBMS? At Vertica we rely on innovative and collaborative teams. Vertica is looking for creative Field Engineers to help our customers succeed. Our field team is integral in coming up with ways to help our customers deploy, manage and maintain the Vertica Analytic Database. An ideal candidate is well versed in SQL, familiar with mainstream RDBMSs such as Oracle, DB2 and MySQL and has some programming or scripting experience in C++, Python, Perl and Shell. Knowledge of Linux (RedHat, SuSE, Debian) and VMware is a plus. Your job will include technical account management, pre-sales support and working on proof of concepts while interacting with sales, engineering and other teams in the organization. You must be comfortable in a startup environment, interfacing directly with customers in the field, on the phone and via IM and e-mail.

You must be comfortable in a startup environment, making direct calls to customers, generating interest, and qualifying prospects. You must also be well versed in CRM solutions and able to do Sales Support/Operations functions as needed.
Sales RepresentativeVertica is looking for focused and well-organized individuals to join the Enterprise Sales team selling the Vertica Analytic Database. You must be comfortable in a startup environment, making direct calls to customers, generating interest, qualifying prospects, building solutions and closing sales. You must also have demonstrated experience prospecting and growing an account list, as well as closing sales.
Support Engineer
Vertica is looking for focused, technical, and well-organized individuals to join the support team in resolving customer issues. Paid Sabbatical Leave
After six years of regular full-time employment, you may be eligible for a four-week paid sabbatical. This sabbatical is exclusive of any other Vertica paid time-off benefit. |
